THE CRIMSON DOOR (YA Supernatural)
After Emilie’s boyfriend, Aiden, begins to show signs of
violent behavior, she links these sudden changes to the night she failed to
stop him from breaking into the old, abandoned house just outside of town. Used
mainly by seniors to scare incoming freshmen, no one has ever been inside and
its past remains a mystery. Having had too much to drink, Aiden manages to lock
himself in only to reemerge a few minutes later sober and with no memory of
what happened. When his manners worsen, Emilie seeks help from her
protective twin brother, Colin, and together they learn the terrifying truth.
Aiden has been possessed by a demon he accidentally unleashed from the house.
As the malevolent spirit uses the teen for its own sadistic pleasures, Emilie
and Colin try to find a way to save Aiden’s soul before it’s too late. Their
research leads them to a shady occult student, who offers his services, though
the twins can’t be sure if he’s helping them or himself. And with the demon
demanding ultimate freedom, Emilie fears she’ll lose everyone she loves if she
doesn’t give it what it wants.
